STEP 1: BEFORE YOU SIGN UP FOR GROUP ADVISING

  • Verify that San Antonio College is your home institution through ACES or admissions and records.
  • Complete all of the enrollment steps. Verify enrollment steps here. If you have not completed all of the enrollment steps, you will not be able to register for classes during group advising.
  • Make sure you know your ACES login, password and Banner ID #

STEP 2: BEFORE YOU ATTEND GROUP ADVISING

  • Review the Date/Time/Location provided in the confirmation email you will receive.
  • See attached Campus Map for location GO TO MAP
  • Parking is allowed in parking garage or parking lots that are labeled "Student Parking". Anywhere else, you will be towed or ticketed.
  • REMINDER: GROUP ADVISING IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO COMPLETE YOUR FIRST ADVISING SESSION AND TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES. IF YOU ARE STILL WORKING ON YOUR ENROLLMENT STEPS, YOU SHOULD CONTACT YOUR ENROLLMENT COACH TO COMPLETE YOUR STEPS BEFORE YOU SIGN UP FOR GROUP ADVISING.

STEP 3: DAY OF GROUP ADVISING

  • Give yourself ample time for parking and to find your way to check-in.
  • Arrive on time. Check-in begins 45 minutes prior to the group advising session. If you have not checked in when we begin, we will ask you to reschedule your session.
  • Bring your banner ID with you

STEP 4: AFTER GROUP ADVISING

  • Keep an eye on your ACES email. You will begin getting an email before classes begin, including important information from your assigned advisor.

  • Relax and celebrate your accomplishment----you are officially a San Antonio College student! WELCOME TO SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE!
